Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 3, 2026
This policy explains what information Lucid Intelligence Group ("we") collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it. It covers this website, lucidintelllc.com, and our signing platform, where you enter the code from your letter and sign. We are a private California company, not a government agency.
1. What we collect and who we share it with
From the State's public records
California publishes the names and last known addresses of people it holds unclaimed property for. We use that list to write to you. From it we keep your name, your last known address, the business that reported the property, the type of property and the amount.
When you visit this website
This website sets two small cookies of its own. No one else sets cookies here.
| Cookie | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| lv | Remembers which of our two page designs you saw, so the site looks the same when you come back. We save the same value in your browser's local storage. | 365 days |
| vid | A random visit number. It holds nothing about who you are. | 365 days |
Each page also sends a short visit record to our own platform, and to no one else. It holds:
- the page design shown and the random visit number
- the page address and the width of your screen
- the name of the website that sent you here, if any
- how long the page took to load
- which parts of the page came into view, and whether you used the code box
We note only whether you are on a phone or a computer. We do not store your IP address or your browser details from the website. If you enter the code from your letter, the code and the visit number reach our platform together, and from then on that visit is linked to your letter.
When you sign on our platform
- the code from your letter
- your name, email address and phone number
- your electronic signature and the consent box you checked
- the date and time you signed
- the IP address and browser details of the device you signed on, which we keep only as proof of the signature
The agreement itself shows your name and last known address as the State reported them, the business that reported the property, the type of property and the amount.
When we file your claim
The State Controller's Office (SCO) needs proof of who you are and where you lived. We may ask you for documents such as a government photo ID and proof of the reported address. We send them to the SCO with your claim. We never ask for your bank account number. The State pays you directly.
When you contact us
If you write, email or call us, we keep a note of what you told us and how to reach you. If you ask us never to write again, we keep your name and address marked so we can honor that.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We never share it for anyone else's marketing. We share it only with these groups:
| Who | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| California State Controller's Office | Your claim, the forms you sign for it, and your proof of identity and address | To file and follow your claim |
| Lob.com, Inc., our mail vendor | Your name, mailing address and the letter | To print and mail our letters |
| Our hosting providers, including Vercel, Inc. | What passes through the website and the platform | To run the website and the platform for us |
| Courts or government offices | Only what the law requires | When the law requires it |
Vercel serves this website for us and handles each web request as our service provider. Like any web server, it has to receive your device's address to send you the page.
How we protect it
Every page and form uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Only staff who need your file can open it. Every staff login is recorded with the staff member's IP address. Each signed agreement is stored with a tamper check.
How long we keep it
We keep the file for an open claim until the State pays or denies it. After that we keep it for seven years, the time the law requires for tax and business records. If you never hire us, we keep your record for three years after our last letter to you, except a request never to write again, which we keep so we can honor it. We use website visit records only as totals, such as how many visits each page design had, and we delete the individual visit records after two years.
2. How to see, correct or delete your information
Email support@lucidintelllc.com to ask what we hold about you, to fix something that is wrong, or to ask us to delete it. You may also call [PHONE] or write to us at [MAILING ADDRESS].
- First we confirm that you are the person the information is about. We may ask for your letter code or details we already have.
- We answer within 30 days.
- We may keep what the law requires us to keep, such as the records of a claim we filed or a fee we were paid. If we keep something, we tell you what and why.
3. How we tell you about changes
If we change this policy, we post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If you have an open file with us, we also email you.
4. Effective date
This policy takes effect on November 3, 2026.
5. Do Not Track signals
Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. We do not track you across other websites, and we let no one else do it through ours. So the signal changes nothing here. Every visitor is treated the same way, with the signal on or off.
6. Tracking by other companies
No other company can collect information about your online activity over time or across websites through our site. We use no third-party scripts, analytics services or advertising networks.
Children
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Other California privacy laws
The California Consumer Privacy Act (Civil Code section 1798.100 and following) applies only to a business that meets one of the limits in section 1798.140(d): more than $25 million in yearly revenue (adjusted for inflation), buying, selling or sharing the personal information of 100,000 or more consumers or households a year, or earning half or more of its yearly revenue from selling or sharing personal information. We are under all three, so the CCPA does not apply to us at this time. We still honor requests to know, correct and delete, by email as described above, and we will not treat you any differently for asking.
California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code section 1798.83) does not apply to us, because we have fewer than 20 employees and we never share personal information with anyone for their direct marketing.
